OPTIMIZED CAD MODELS FOR MESHING

Bridging the gap between CAD and CAE with easy to use repair and defeaturing functions for a highly flexible, seamless and accelerated process, in any CAD environment.

With FEA Tools, models of all native and standard data formats can be optimized for meshing and converted for FEM analysis, without requiring a CAD license or CAD specific know how.

Mini patches and their basic surfaces can be merged through the metaface function. The elimination of problematic minifaces as well as long thin faces reduces the total number of faces by approximately 40-70%. The resulting geometry comprises no more small faces and can therefore be meshed and handled much easier. By means of the revolutionary intelligent, semi-automatic “defeaturing” functions for geometry simplification, features such as holes, rounds, chamfers or other irrelevant details can be eliminated from the models within seconds.

Our native interfaces also read the information about material, weight, center of gravity, volume and Tailored-Blanks directly from the native files, made ready to be handled in further processes. The graphical user interface has effective and easy functions for the manipulation of CAD geometry. All functions can also be used in the batchmode of 3D_Evolution©.
